Coaching Chisme
Weekly conversations where I share some themes that come up in coaching and living life as a Latina leader living authentically in her purpose.

Relationship Building with a New Supervisor
I have a couple of clients with new supervisors. In our coaching sessions we have been discussing how they want to intentionally build relationship with their supervisor.
Here’s what they’ve decided they need. Hopefully these are helpful for you too. (I would recommend not rushing these and building over time in multiple conversations.)

Do you graduate from coaching?
You should never feel pressured by a coach to sign up or stay. You should feel supported to gain clarity and trust yourself to know what’s best for you.
Each relationship is unique and coaching is not a prescription. I trust people to know if I am the coach for them and for how long.

Career Pivots
It’s best when you can give yourself time to intentionally plan a pivot. Most folks who confidently and successfully shift their life and career over and over again aren’t just making spur of the moment decisions.
They are building audacious dreams for their futures and taking small steps now to build their safety and confidence to take the large leaps down the road.

Taking Calculated Risks
People who successfully take risks take calculated risks.
Today I’m pulling back the current on how I support my clients to take leaps: we focus on vision, finances, and safety.

Engaging with Little Me
Many of the thoughts and behaviors we have as adults are patterns repeating from childhood. When my clients are caught in a loop that is making it difficult for them to lead in new ways or to create a vision for their future, I support them to find where they initially learned the things they want for their life are unsafe.

Building confidence and self-trust as Latina leaders
The underlying need when we want to be more confident is wanting to trust ourselves more. Trust that you have the ability to meet challenges that come your way and you will succeed.

How do I know if I am healing?
You will rarely hear me use the word ‘healed.’ I always talk about coaching being a space for ‘heal-ing.’ It is not a destination - it is a lifelong journey to navigate with support throughout.

Forming and maintaining adult friendships
Adult friendships require you to be clear about who you are, where you are going, and who you want on that journey with you.

Introversion is also a superpower
We need to stop focusing on what we want to change about ourselves to fit in a leadership box and start getting curious about our strengths and how can bring them to the forefront.

Self-Care During Stressful Times
Watching the news these days is very activating. As a leader, you are likely living in stressful situations regularly. You hold space for everyone else. How can you make sure you have space to recharge and reset as well?
